|
Dear Beta Alpha Psi Officers,
I am writing to tell you about a panel session that the American
Accounting Association will be offering at the Beta Alpha Psi meeting
this August in San Francisco. The title of the session is “The
Benefits of an Academic Career in Accounting” and it will be offered
on Saturday, August 6th , from 9-9:50.
As you may know, there is a shortage of new professors in accounting. The
objective of this session is to tell you about the many benefits
of being an accounting professor, and hopefully to pique your interest
in our profession. I will be moderating the panel, and the
panelists are Christine Botosan (University of Utah), Mark Bradshaw
(Harvard University), and Carolyn Callahan (University of Arkansas).
I am writing to ask you to consider attending this session. I
am confident that you will find our panel discussion to be informative,
lively, and helpful. I hope to see you in San Francisco on
August 6th.
Sincerely,
Joseph V. Carcello
