Happy New Year to everyone!  We hope you all enjoyed the holidays. Please be reminded of several important items:

Award Seeking Chapters – December 15th Deadline

  1. Regional Meetings: Make sure to register for your Regional Meeting at: 2009 Regional Meeting Registration


  2. Tax Season is here! VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a rewarding service program for any chapter to be involved in- go to link http://www.bap.org/chaphand/vita.htm and check out the details! If your chapter participates in VITA, it must complete the report found on our website.


  3. Best Practices sponsored by Deloitte– If your chapter plans on competing this year’s  Best Practices competition, please make sure to have your abstract submitted to your Director-at-Large by the dates listed on the Summary of Competitions page at: http://www.bap.org/competitions.htm

  4. Reaching Out Activities Update – an extra point has been added to the ROA screen for each of the below:
    1. Regional Meeting Team Dynamic Session – minutes should also be recorded in workbook (Beginning in 2010, this activity will no longer be counted as an ROA)
    2. R.I.S.E. Student Forum Attendance – If your chapter sends a member or members to the R.I.S.E. Student Global Forum your chapter can achieve one ROA point. Minutes should also be recorded in workbook as a non-Beta Activity

  5. New Chapter Reporters – Please make sure to watch the tutorials.


  6. Price for Chapter Banners will be increased from $300 to $400 for all banners ordered after April 1st, 2009.


  7. Alumni Representatives 2009  - If you want to know more about becoming an Alumni Rep for Beta Alpha Psi, make sure to contact Emelissa Baluyot embaluyot@deloitte.com or Brad Schultz bradford.schultz@gmail.com for all the details. Deadline for nominations is May 1st, 2009.
