Hello everyone,

The attendance and overall participation for the 2008-2009 Regional Meetings has been very strong, and we want to thank all the Host Chapters and their Faculty Advisors for all their dedication and hard work.

Competition Highlight: Medal of Inspiration sponsored by the AICPA - We invite current Beta Alpha Psi students to nominate either themselves or another current Beta Alpha Psi student. We also encourage faculty advisors to consider nominating one of their members. A nominee is eligible as long as he/she receives his/her degree no later than August 1, 2009, (this includes students who are currently enrolled as juniors, seniors and graduate students). Students who receive their degree after that date are ineligible for this year’s competition. Nominators will be required to write an essay describing why and how this individual inspires them. The academic year end will be here before we know it. Please keep in mind:

  • April 30th – BAP's Fiscal Year End. Please enter all of your new candidates, review your chapter's invoice and year-to-date statement, and remit any outstanding payments by April 30th.


  • May 1st
    • Nomination Forms are due: (Medal of Inspiration, Alumni Rep, Outstanding Faculty Advisor, Business Professional of the Year, PRWI) – Nomination Forms can be found at:  http://www.bap.org/nominations.htm


    • All 1st Place Best Practices Winners are to notify the Best Practice Coordinator of their intention to compete at the 2009 Annual Meeting Best Practices competition sponsored by Deloitte. Please email Diane Pattison at: pattison@sandiego.edu


  • May 15th – VITA Reporting Summary is due:

  • June 1st

    • End of Year Report is the absolute deadline for all chapter reporting.


      1. There will be no extensions granted for the Year-End Report;


      2. All chapters seeking Superior Chapter Status must meet the June 1st deadline – No Exceptions;


      3. Please submit IRS Form 990 if your chapter’s revenue is greater than $25K – Due June 1st;


      4. Audits are only required for chapter's that have revenue greater than $100K for the past year. – Reports are still due June 1st.
